HOUSTON— A Houston man is suing an energy company, alleging he was not paid for a year of work.

Anthony H. Masso filed a lawsuit Dec. 28 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against GGI Energy Inc., Francisco Rodolfo and Jimenez Burkhalter, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Masso was employed by CGI Energy from 2012 until 2014 as chief operating officer and executive vice president of business operations. During the contracted time, the suit says, Masso was to receive a salary of $350,000 per year.

The lawsuit states the defendant failed to fulfill all terms and agreements stated in the contract, even going so far as to not pay the plaintiff his salary for the final year of employment.

Masso seeks more than $1 million for damages, plus lost funds and legal fees. He is representing himself.
