GALVESTON— A Fort Bend County woman is suing The Cheesecake Factory, alleging she slipped and fell on a greasy substance and suffered injuries.
Lilly Vargas filed a complaint Dec. 8 in Galveston County District Court against The Cheesecake Factory Restaurants Inc, also known as The Cheesecake Factory, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on Dec. 13, 2013, while visiting defendant's Friendswood location, Vargas suffered injuries to her body when she encountered a greasy substance on the ground, which caused her to fall.
The plaintiff alleges The Cheesecake Factory should have known and warned guests of the danger.
Vargas seeks compensation between $200,000 and $1 million for damages and legal fees. She is represented by attorneys Jackson R. Reed and Travis B. Terry of Reed and Terry LLP in Sugar Land.
