Houston couple sues massage parlor, masseuse for alleged sexual assault

A Houston couple has brought a $1.3 million lawsuit against a League City massage parlor and one of its employees, claiming the wife was sexually assaulted at the business last year.

Danelle and Chip Sherwood’s suit, filed Jan. 14 in the Galveston County 212th District Court, explains that Danelle Sherwood went to Massage Heights Victory Lakes on Apr. 25, 2015, and was assigned a session with Jason Ratcliff.

The suit says Danelle Sherwood had to cut her massage short because Ratcliff molested her.

“Danelle Sherwood made demands upon Ratcliff and used her body language attempting to stop his sexual advances,” the original petition says.

“Ratcliff continued and refused her comments and body language demands to stop his actions.”

Court documents add “Danelle Sherwood was in complete disbelief with Ratcliff’s actions and got up off the massage table and removed herself from the room.”

Attorney Steven Engelhardt of the law firm Engelhardt Law, P.C. in Houston is representing the Sherwoods.
