GALVESTON — A Harris County woman is suing a League City housing development, alleging negligence caused her to fall and suffer injuries.

Shirley Wilson filed a lawsuit Feb. 12 in Galveston County District Court against BESYATA Crop, The Fairways at South Shore LLC, and The Fairways at South Shore Homeowners Association Inc, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on April 17, 2014, Wilson was injured in the common area of the League City development while she was walking and tripped on an uneven, unlit and unmarked sewer cap. The suit says her fall caused her to sustain multiple serious injuries.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants were responsible for maintaining safe conditions for visitors and avoid such danger as the sewer cap.

Wilson seeks damages for physical pain, mental anguish, lost earnings and damage to earning capacity, physical impairment, medical expenses and costs of suit. She is represented by attorney Mackenzie B. Linyard of Rad Law Firm PC in Dallas.
