Woman seeks underinsured coverage from Allstate

Allstate

GALVESTON – A Galveston woman is suing her insurance company for underinsured benefits after she was allegedly injured in an accident.

Tonya Huckaby filed a complaint Feb. 5 in the Galveston County District Court against Allstate Insurance Co., seeking claims for underinsured benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 5, 2015, she was involved in a vehicular accident with Jancy Bonilla. The plaintiff holds Allstate Insurance Co. responsible because the insurance of Bonilla was not sufficient to cover her medical expenses, and she requests the defendant to assist her using her policy's underinsured coverage.

The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for monetary relief of $1,000,000, prejudgment interest and any other relief the court deems proper. She is represented by David W. Bergquist and Nicholas M. Wills of the Bergquist Law Firm in Houston.
