HOUSTON – A woman is suing her former employer alleging that she was terminated while on maternity leave.

Crystal Aesook Nguyen filed a complaint on Feb. 16 in the Houston Division for the Southern District of Texas against UBS Financial Service Inc., citing discrimination and violation of Family and Medical Leave Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between May 29, 2014, and August 27, 2014, she took pregnancy leave under the FMLA. The plaintiff holds UBS Financial Service Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly terminated her while on leave and without proper notice.

The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for all damages, attorney's fees and court costs. She is represented by Jeffrey L. Doggett of Houston.
