Beaumont Transit Co. driver allegedly rear-ended a motorist

Car accident 44

BEAUMONT — A motorist has filed suit against a transportation company for alleged negligence resulting in an injury that occurred after an employee supposedly rear-ended the motorist.

Rhonda Broussard filed a complaint March 1 in the District Court of Jefferson County against Beaumont Transit Co., alleging that the domestic corporation wrongfully neglected their duties while operating a vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 28, she suffered personal injuries when her vehicle was struck in the rear. The plaintiff holds Beaumont Transit Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to apply the brakes and maintain a safe distance between the vehicles, causing injuries to plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks compensation for all damages including interest and any other relief as the court deems just and proper. She is represented by J. Trenton Bond and Chris Portner of Portner Bond PLLC in Beaumont in Texas.
