Three workers allege health services firm failed to pay overtime

SHERMAN — Three employees are suing a Carrollton health services business, alleging failure to pay overtime.

Christy Collier, Freddy Rodriguez and Angela Wagner filed a lawsuit March 10 in the Sherman Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Careplus Health Services Inc. and Anil Joseph, alleging failure to pay overtime wages to employees.

According to the complaint, Collier, Rodriguez and Wagner worked for more than 40 hours per work week during their employment but did not receive any overtime pay. The plaintiffs allege the defendants failed to properly pay their employees overtime wages as stated in the Fair Labor Standards Act for any hours worked more than 40.

The plaintiffs seek tcompensation for all damages, unpaid wages plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems proper. They are represented by attorney Douglas B. Welmaker of Dunham & Jones PC in Austin.
