BEAUMONT — A Texas business is suing a rental company, alleging breach of contract and unfair competition.
Kilgore Construction LLC, doing business as Kilgore Industrial, filed a lawsuit March 11 in Jefferson County District Court against United Rentals (North America) Inc.
According to the complaint, Kilgore suffered damages for being overcharged for rented equipment. The plaintiff alleges the defendant charged the plaintiff unreasonable fees and interest rates.
Kilgore Industrial seeks compensation for all damages, declaratory relief, interest in the maximum rate allowed by the law, all legal fees and other relief the court deems just. It is represented by attorneys Chris Portner and J. Trenton Bond of Portner Bond PLLC in Beaumont.
