Korean company accuses Apple of patent infringement

MARSHALL — A Korean company is suing Apple Inc., alleging patent infringement.

Porto Technology Co. LTD. filed a complaint April 3, in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Apple, Inc. alleging it knowingly infringes multiple patents currently owned by the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, Porto Technology suffered monetary damages as a result of its patents being infringed. The plaintiff alleges Apple manufactures and sells devices that contain applications that directly infringes the 518 and 413 patents that are licensed under the plaintiff.

Porto Technology seeks a trial by jury, a permanent injunction against Apple and its agents from further infringing the 518 and 413 patents, payment for all damages, costs including interest as a result of infringing on the patents, and any other relief the court deems just. It is represented by attorneys Hao Ni, Timothy T. Wang, Neal G. Massand, and Stevenson Moore V of Ni, Wang & Massand PLLC in Dallas.
