HOUSTON — A Harris County man is suing a plumbing business, alleging unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation laws.

Bernard Miller filed a lawsuit March 25 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against A Absolute Plumbing Inc. and Joe Gordin, alleging failure to pay overtime wages.

According to the complaint, between Oct, 12, 2012, and Dec. 1, 2015, Miller worked 50 to 60 hours during some weeks but was not paid any overtime wages. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to pay overtime premium for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week.

Miller seeks trial by jury, unpaid back wages, unpaid wage damages as liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorneys Thomas H. Padgett Jr., Charles L. Scalise and Daniel B. Ross of Ross Law Group in Bellaire.
