BEAUMONT — A Jefferson County man is suing the owners of a Beaumont apartment complex, alleging negligence led to injuries.
Freddie Givens filed a lawsuit March 22, in Jefferson County District Court against Creel Investments Inc., alleging it did nothing to ensure the safety of its apartment residents.
According to the complaint, in July 2014, Givens slipped and fell on stairs at the sustaining body injuries at the apartment complex, 370 Long Road, Beaumont . The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to take appropriate measures to ensure residents have a safe place to live, free of any hazards.
Givens seeks trial by jury, actual damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney James E. Payne of Provost Umphrey Law Firm LLP in Beaumont.
