TYLER — A Bullard couple is suing a seat belt manufacturer alleging breach warranty, design defect and liability.
Janice Gullett and William Gullett of Bullard filed a lawsuit April 8 in the Tyler Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Masterlink Marketing Inc., also known as Master Design, also known as Seatbelt Adjuster, alleging the seat belt manufacturer designed defective products that caused injuries.
According to the complaint, on June 19, 2014, Janice Gullett lost control of her vehicle on FM 346 in Smith County, and left the roadway before coming to a stop. The suit says despite being restrained by her three-point seat belt, she sustained injuries.
The plaintiffs allege the defendant manufactured and sold its products to market without proper testing, which caused injuries to Janice Gullett.
The Gulletts seek all damages, interest, legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorneys E. Todd Tracy, Stewart Matthews and Andrew G. Counts of The Tracy Firm in Dallas.
