HOUSTON — A Houston man is suing a security services business, alleging failure to pay employees overtime.
Dominick Robinson filed a class action lawsuit, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, April 5 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against St. Moritz Security Services Inc. alleging retaliation, unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation laws.
According to the complaint, from Dec. 19, 2015, until the present, Robinson worked as a security guard for more than 40 hours per week and did not receive any overtime for those extra hours. The plaintiff alleges St. Moritz Security failed to pay overtime wage at the rate required by the Fair Labor Standards Act.
The plaintiff seeks a trial by jury, compensation for all hours worked but not recorded, plus liquidated damages equal to the amount, damages for retaliation, interest at the highest rate allowed by law, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just.
