Former worker alleges petroleum company failed to pay overtime

Overtime

HOUSTON — A former employee is suing a Houston petroleum company, alleging failing to pay overtime.

Clarence J. Pilcek filed a lawsuit March 11 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, The Global Edge Consultants LLC and Kathryn Eberwein, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act regarding overtime pay.

According to the complaint, between 2011 and March 2, 2016, Pilcek worked for approximately 42.5 hours per week, including time in Mozambique, but was not paid any overtime. The plaintiff alleges Anadarko permitted him to work for more than 40 hours per week but did not pay any overtime for all the extra hours.

Pilcek seeks a trial by jury, unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages equal to the unpaid overtime wage, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Andrew S. Golub of Dow Golub Remels & Beverly LLP in Houston.
