Galveston woman alleges man assaulted her

GALVESTON — An Galveston woman is suing another Galveston resident, alleging he assaulted her and tried to remove her clothing.

Karen Acton of Galveston filed a complaint April 21, in the Galveston County District Court against Clarence Irwin Lewis Jr. alleging assault, battery and trespassing.

According to the complaint, on May 4, 2015, Acton sustained injuries and mental anguish when Lewis physically assaulted her, and made an unwanted visit to plaintiff's apartment in an attempt to destroy evidence of his assault by attempting to obtain Lewis' cell phone.

Acton seeks all damages, interest, legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Mark W. Stevens of Galveston.
