Law money 03

HOUSTON — A Louisiana man is suing an energy business, alleging failure to pay overtime wages.

Glen Guidry, of Scott, Louisiana, filed a class action lawsuit, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, April 21 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against VAM USA LLC, failure to fairly compensate employees and violating the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, between May 2013 and November 2015, Guidry worked for more than 40 hours per week as a field service representative but was not paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff alleges VAM had knowledge of the total hours Guidry was working but failed to pay proper overtime.

Guidry seeks a trial by jury, back wages, unpaid compensation, liquidated damages equal to the unpaid compensation due, interest at the highest rate allowed by the law, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorneys Clif Alexander, Austin W. Anderson and Lauren E. Braddy of Phipps Anderson Deacon LLP in Corpus Christi.
