BEAUMONT — A motorist is suing a Beaumont couple, alleging their negligence caused a car crash.
Floyd Hollins of Beaumont filed a lawsuit April 12 in Jefferson County District Court against Kenneth Ray Durousseau and Isis Marie Durousseau, alleging they failed to properly control their vehicle.
According to the complaint, on April 15, 2015, Hollins suffered injuries while traveling northbound on Highland Street in Jefferson County when a vehicle driven by Kenneth Durousseau and owned by his wife, Marie, struck the plaintiff's car. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to follow the rules of the road causing their car to strike Hollins' vehicle with tremendous force.
The suit says the plaintiff sustained physical pain and suffering, mental anguish and loss of earnings.
Hollins seeks all medical expenses, damages, interest at the maximum rate allowed by law, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorneys Marty Young and Brent Goudarzi of Goudarzi & Young LLP in Gilmer.
