Car accident 11

GALVESTON — A Harris County motorist is suing the city of Galveston, alleging negligence caused a bus to run into his car, causing him injuries.

Charles E. Mitchell filed a lawsuit April 25 in Galveston County District Court against the city of Galveston alleging a city bus driver failed to properly control his vehicle, causing injuries to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, on July 31, 2014, Mitchell suffered injuries when a Galveston bus ran into his car near the 500 block of Harborside Drive in Galveston. The plaintiff alleges the city bus driver failed to apply his brakes and keep his attention on the road.

The suit says the plaintiff sustained physical and emotional pain, impairment, disfigurement and medical expenses.

Mitchell seeks damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorneys Kevin Adley and Gilbert Garza of Adley Law Firm LTD LLP in Houston.
