Law money 12

GALVESTON — An employee is suing an engineering and construction company, alleging failure to pay overtime.

Jay Williams of Dallas, individually and on behalf of all similarly situated persons, filed a class action lawsuit May 5 in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against TRS Staffing Solutions Inc. of Sugar Land, and Fluor Enterprises Inc. of Irving, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act in failing to fairly compensate employees.

According to the complaint, between March 26, 2012, and March 26, 2014, Williams worked more than 40 hours per week without receiving any overtime compensation. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to pay overtime wages to any of their employees, in violation of FLSA.

Williams seeks a trial by jury, declaratory or injunctive relief, compensatory damages, interest, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Thomas H. Padgett Jr. of Ross Law Group in Bellaire.
