Employee accuses Hobby Lobby of retaliation

Wrongful term 04

HOUSTON — A Harris County man is suing Hobby Lobby Stores, alleging he was fired for raising concerns about sexual harassment.

Patrick Strickler filed a lawsuit May 5 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Hobby Lobby Stores Inc., alleging retaliation and wrongful termination.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 8, 2015, Strickler was terminated when he voiced his opinion about one of his superiors harassing female employees. The plaintiff alleges Hobby Lobby harassed and retaliated against him as a result of his complaint against his supervisor.

Strickler seeks a trial by jury, back pay plus interest, front pay, compensatory damages, un-reimbursed medical expenses, punitive damages, injunctive relief, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by attorneys John C. Lipps and Bruce A. Coane of Coane and Associates PLLC in Houston.
