GALVESTON — A customer is suing a Galveston restaurant, alleging negligence led to her suffering injuries.
Ana Aguilar filed a lawsuit May 27 in Galveston County District Court against Gildardo Lopez, doing business as El Gusto Del Pueblo, alleging negligence in failing to maintain a safe and clean facility for guests.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 4, 2014, Aguilar slipped and fell on the floor of the defendant's restaurant in Galveston due a liquid on the floor. This led to the plaintiff suffering physical pain, mental anguish, impairment, lost wages and medical expenses, the suit said.
The plaintiff alleges El Gusto Del Pueblo failed to keep its facility safe and free from any foreign substance that could cause injuries to guests.
Aguilar seeks all medical expenses, all damages, interest, compensatory damages, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorneys Timothy R. Hightower and Ivan J. Capellan of Hightower Capellan in Houston.
