Law money 12

HOUSTON — A West Virginia man is suing a Houston drilling company, alleging unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation acts.

Ryan Long of Monroe County, West Virginia, filed a class action complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Crescent Directional Drilling LP, alleging failure to fairly compensate employees in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, between August 2015 and March 2016, Long worked more than 40 hours per week without receiving any overtime compensation from Crescent Directional. The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to pay overtime wages for all hours worked in excess of 40 per week as required by FLSA.

Long seeks trial by jury, unpaid compensation, liquidated damages equal to the unpaid wages owed the plaintiff, interest, all legal fees and all relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Galvin B. Kennedy of Kennedy Hodges, LLP in Houston.
