Texas condo corporation seeks $3 million from exterminators

Contract 04

GALVESTON — A Galveston condo corporation is suing an exterminator partnership, alleging it owes $3 million.

Market Street Condominiums Association, Inc. filed a complaint April 19 in Galveston County District Court against Terminix and Dre Properties LLC, alleging negligence in failing to properly maintain the plaintiff's property.

According to the complaint, between Feb. 11-May 2015, Market Street suffered damages to its property because of termites. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to keep the property termite free while providing false statements to Market Street that they had already treated the property and that it was longer infested with termites.

Market Street Condominiums seeks a trial by jury, judgment of no less than $3 million, interest, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. It is represented by attorney Steven Engelhardt of Engelhardt Law PLLC in Houston.
