Visual Content IP, LLC v. Halo 2 Cloud, LLC 2:16-cv-00555-JRG

The plaintiff Visual Content is based in Plano.

It has pursued legal action in response to what it asserts is infringement of United States Patent Numbers 8,189,965; 8,384,947; 8,570,588; 8,693,047; and 8,786,897.

According to recent court documents, the subject patents were invented by Albert Durr Edgar, Darryl Ray Polk, Michael David Wilkes, Sheppard Parker, and Martin Potucek, and Michael Charles Wilder, all from Central Texas, while the original assignee was Image Trends, Inc., of Austin.

“Visual Content is the owner by assignment of the Asserted Patents and owns all right, title, and interest in the Asserted Patents, including the right to sue for and recover all past, present, and future damages for infringement of the Asserted Patents,” court papers say.

The complainant seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

Attorneys Eric W. Buether and Christopher M. Joe of the law firm Buether Joe & Carpenter, LLC in Dallas are representing Visual Content.
