HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Houston lab, alleging failure to pay proper overtime wages.

Debbie Anzaldua filed a class action lawsuit, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, June 2 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Lone Star Labs Inc. and Van C. Quan, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act in failing to fairly compensate employees.

According to the complaint, between November 2002 and November 2015, Anzaldua  worked for more than 40 hours per week as a lab technician but was not paid any overtime wages. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to pay their employees any overtime compensation and failed to keep any accurate time and pay records.

Anzaldua seeks a trial by jury, all unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorneys Melissa Moore, Rochelle Owens and Curt Hesse of Moore & Associates in Houston.
