Mother alleges son owes her more than $78,000

Contract 01

GALVESTON — A League City woman is suing her a son, alleging he owes her more than $78,000.

Joann McCollough filed a lawsuit May 31 in Galveston County District Court against Kevin McCollough, alleging breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and unpaid debt.

According to the complaint, between Dec. 2, 2013, and August 2014, Joann McCollough suffered monetary damages as a result of unpaid debt owed by her son Kevin McCullough, a pilot for American Airlines. The plaintiff alleges her son failed to pay the total amount owed despite her several attempts to collect the debt. The suit says the defendant also made false representations about the foundation repair to the house her mother bought from him at No. 6 Trophy Club outside Roanoke, Texas.

Joann McCollough seeks actual damages of $78,905, interest, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Andrew S. Krone of Waldron & Schneider LLP in Houston.
