Man alleges hose caused injuries on job site

GALVESTON – An electrician alleges he was injured on a job site.

Jose Ruvalcaba filed a complaint on June 13 in Galveston County District Court against Turner Industries Group LLC, Blanchard Refining Co. LLC and Marathon Petroleum Co. LP alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 20, 2014, he suffered physical injuries when a hose was accidentally dropped, hitting his right shoulder with the metal tip. The plaintiff holds Turner Industries Group LLC, Blanchard Refining Co. LLC and Marathon Petroleum Co. LP responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to implement proper safety plan for their workers while inside the job site as well as provide adequate warnings for potential dangerous conditions inside the premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all medical expenses, loss of earning capacity and lost wages, interest, monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Loren G. Klitsas and Jared W. Capps of Klitsas & Vercher PC in Houston.
