HOUSTON — A Houston man is suing an extended stay hotel business, alleging age discrimination.

Charles Jones filed a lawsuit June 14 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against WoodSpring Suites LLC, formerly known as Value Place LLC and Value Place Property Management LLC, alleging they discriminated against the plaintiff due to his age.

According to the complaint, Jones, 64, experienced discrimination and was eventually relieved from his position as a maintenance worker. The plaintiff alleges the defendants ended his employment, stating Jones was too old for the job and replaced him with a younger worker.

Jones seeks a trial by jury, actual damages, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by attorneys Mark J. Oberti and Edwin Sullivan of Oberti Sullivan LLP in Houston.
