HOUSTON — A Magnolia woman is suing Office Depot, alleging discrimination and sexual harassment.

Victoria Sherfey filed a lawsuit June 15 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Office Depot, Inc. alleging the defendant did not take any measures to ensure that plaintiff was treated fairly and with respect while she was employed.

According to the complaint, between 2011 and 2015, Sherfey was sexually harassed by her manager which, ultimately, resulted in her resigning her position June 20, 2015. The plaintiff alleges Office Depot failed to take action when she complained about her being sexually harassed by her manager and a male co-worker and generally treated her less favorably than others.

Sherfey seeks a trial by jury, a permanent injunction against the defendant, all damages, back pay, reinstatement or front pay, statutory relief, compensatory damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Katrina Patrick of Law Offices of Katrina Patrick in Houston.
