SHERMAN – A Texas man is suing is suing an auto dealership, alleging he was terminated as finance manager because he sought treatment for Adderall use.
Brandon Davis filed a lawsuit Aug. 8 in the Sherman Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Berkshire Hathaway Automotive Inc., doing business as Crest Nissan of Frisco, alleging wrongful termination.
The suit says the defendant “manufactured [the Adderall] reason and terminated Davis despite his positive job performance, alleging lack of discipline.”
According to the complaint Davis worked for Crest Nissan from November 2014 to Jan. 21, 2016, was the defendant's number one finance producer and held the highest customer satisfaction index.
The complaint says Davis was provided Adderall by the defendant’s finance director in an effort to work long hours. The lawsuit states Davis felt a significant amount of pressure to take the drug.
Davis says that he discontinued the Adderall when his health started to deteriorate.
Davis seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial. He is represented by attorneys Dustin A. Paschal and Paul W. Simon of Simon Paschal PLLC in Dallas.
