Customer blames supermarket operator for injuries

Slip02

HOUSTON — A Texas woman is suing a supermarket operator, alleging the defendant's negligence led to the plaintiff suffering injuries.

Glenda Figueroa filed a lawsuit Aug. 19 in Harris County District Court against ALDI Inc., alleging negligence in creating an unreasonably dangerous condition.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 22, 2015, Figueroa was severely injured when she slipped and fell at the defendant's store in Harris County. The suit says she sustained pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical expenses, disfigurement and impairment.

The plaintiff alleges ALDI failed to inspect its premises, failed to warn of the dangerous condition and failed to use ordinary care to reduce or eliminate the dangerous condition.

Figueroa seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, legal interest, costs of court and pre- and post-judgment interest. She is represented by attorney Bruce A. Munson of The Munson Law Firm in Houston.
