GALVESTON — A Texas man is suing a Santa Fe couple, alleging their negligence led to a severe foot injury.

Jarrod Harrison of Azel, Texas, filed a lawsuit Sept. 9 in Galveston County District Court against John Mosby and Annette Mosby, alleging negligence in failing to warn the plaintiff of the unsafe condition.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 24, 2015, Harrison was an invitee at the Mosbys' property, 14716 state Highway 6, Santa Fe, when he was injured while using equipment furnished by the Mosbys to move equipment in the house. The suit says the equipment malfunctioned and crushed Mosby's foot.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate lighting for the area in question, failed to discover and remove the files of materials improperly stacked and failed to provide necessary and proper procedures.

Harrison seeks trial by jury, monetary relief of more than $1 million, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of court and all other relief. He is represented by attorney Joseph Onwuteaka of the Law Office of Joseph Onwuteaka PC in Houston.
