HOUSTON — A Houston woman is suing a Georgia company, alleging unlawful collection practices.

Danielle Young filed a lawsuit Sept. 30 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Credence Resource Management LLC of Norcross, Georgia, alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, September-October 2015, Young repeatedly received telephone calls from Credence Resource, attempting to collect an alleged debt.

The plaintiff alleges despite her request to stop calling, the defendant continued to call with an intent to harass, annoy and/or abuse Young in connection with the collection of a debt.

Young seeks trial by jury, statutory damages of $1,000 for the violation of the FDCPA, attorney fees, witness fees, court costs and all other relief deemed appropriate by the court. She is represented by attorney Amy L. Bennecoff Ginsburg of Kimmel & Silverman PC in Ambler, Pennsylvania.
