Bank alleges borrower owes $76,000

GALVESTON — A Galveston bank is suing an Austin borrower, alleging it owes more than $76,000 for breach of contract.

Moody National Bank filed a lawsuit Oct. 6 in Galveston County District Court against AHFC PLLC, alleging failure to comply with their business loan agreement and commercial security agreements.

According to the complaint, on June 8, 2015, Moody National entered into a loan agreement with the defendant for $85,000. To date, the principal amount of $76,109.16, plus interest and late charges, remains unpaid, the suit says. The plaintiff alleges the defendant has refused pay its indebtedness.

The plaintiff seeks trial by jury, judgment for the total of $76,109.16, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees, costs of court and all other relief. It is represented by attorneys Michael Adam, Tara B. Annweiler and Jennifer J. Nobley of Greer, Herz & Adams LLP in Galveston.
