Personnel services firm cited by employee for failure to pay benefits

HOUSTON — A director of sales and development is suing Joseph Chris Personnel Services Inc. and Veronica Ramirez, employers, citing alleged breach of contract and negligent misrepresentation.

Jenny Bell filed a complaint on Oct. 7, in the Harris Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they failed to comply with their employment agreement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered damages for not receiving the benefits she bargained for, including but not limited to her bonus. The plaintiff holds Joseph Chris Personnel Services Inc. and Veronica Ramirez responsible because the defendants allegedly subjected her to disparate treatment, a hostile work environment and lack of support from the management team.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of over $200,000 but not more than $1 million, attorney's fees, costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and for all other and further relief she is justly entitled. She is represented by Jake B. McDonald of Law Offices of Jake McDonald PLLC in Houston.
