GALVESTON – A Galveston roofing contractor alleges a Houston property owner did not pay for the installation of a new roof.

Morgan Roofing LLC filed a complaint on Oct. 25 in the Galveston County District Court against Constance Aberant Davis alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 6, it entered into a contract with defendant for the installation of a new roofing system and replacement of the preexisting roofing system at defendant's property for a total amount of $13,000. The plaintiff holds Constance Aberant Davis responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to pay his indebtedness.

The plaintiff seeks payment for damages in the amount of $13,000, pre- and post-judgment interest, judgment decreeing that plaintiff has a lien on the property and improvements, attorney's fees, costs of court and such other and further relief. It is represented by Michael B. Hughes and James V. Hewitt of McLeod, Alexander, Powel & Apffel PC in Galveston.
