The plaintiff Optima asserts ownership of United States Patent Number 6,626,800.

Per recent court documents, the ‘800 patent, entitled “Method of Exercise Prescription and Evaluation,” was issued on Sept. 30, 2003.

Optima claims that it “has standing to sue and recover for all past, present, and future damages for infringement of the ’800 patent.”

“The inventions of the ’800 patent resolve problems related to evaluating an exercise protocol,” the complaints state.

A jury trial is requested.

Ruby Sands has pursued legal action in response to alleged infringement of U.S. Patent No. 6,891,633.

Recent court documents show that the Xerox Corp. originally owned the ‘633 patent from 2005 to last year. Ruby Sands reportedly assumed ownership on Nov. 25, 2015.

“The ’633 patent is directed to a novel image transfer system comprising a transfer device which can be operably connected to a computer,” court papers say. “The system includes a reader for reading an image on a first medium, and a display for displaying an image transfer menu for effecting transfer of the image to perform a selected function.”

A jury trial is requested.
