The plaintiff Axcess International is based in Plano.

It has pursued legal action in response to alleged infringement of United States Patent Number 7,286,158.

Per recent court documents, the ‘158 patent, entitled “Method and System for Providing Integrated Remote Monitoring Services,” was issued on Oct. 23, 2007. Allan R. Griebenow is the purported inventor of the patent.

The complainant seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

The plaintiff Atlas is based in Miami.

It asserts ownership of U.S. Patent No. 5,371,734. Recent court documents show that application for the ‘734 patent, entitled “Medium Access Control Protocol for Wireless Network,” was filed in 1993.

“The invention of the ‘734 patent is directed, inter alia, to ‘a reliable medium access control (MAC) protocol for wireless, preferably radio frequency (RF), LAN-type network communications among a plurality of resources….,’” court papers say.

Atlas seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
