Law money 06

HOUSTON — A tire technician is suing two construction companies, alleging their negligence led to injuries to the plaintiff.

Lauro Garcia-Neri filed a lawsuit Nov. 17 in Harris County District Court against EPSA Construction Management Services LLC and Zachry-Odebrecht Parkway Builders, alleging failure to provide a safe place to work.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 2, 2015, while Garcia-Neri  was working at the direction of the defendants and on their premises, he sustained severe and permanent injuries to his shoulder and back when he was instructed to dismount and replace a 1,000-pound industrial tire.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to provide any safety gear, tire removal and replacement devices and failed to supervise their employees.

Garcia-Neri seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, costs of court and all appropriate relief. He is represented by attorneys Michael E. Pierce and M. Paul Skrabanek of Pierce Skrabanek Bruera PLLC in Houston.
