BEAUMONT — Two Louisiana parents are suing two Beaumont companies, alleging product liability for producing a hazardous product.

Zane Royer and Ginger Royer of Vinton, Louisiana, individually and on behalf of their minor children Nicholas Fuselier, Victoria Royer, and Annalise Royer, filed a complaint Dec. 9 in Jefferson County District Court against Polaris Industries Inc. and Cowboy Powersports Ltd., alleging they marketed a product despite knowing the potential hazards it could cause.

According to the complaint, in March 2015, Zane Royer suffered serious physical injuries when he was pinned as the result of an accident involving a 2015 Ranger 570 on FM 365 in Beaumont. The plaintiffs allege the defendants failed to properly test the product before selling it to consumers.

The Royers seek damages plus interest, all legal fees and all other just relief. They are represented by attorney Randall E. Hart of Broussard & Hart LLC in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
