HOUSTON — A Houston woman is suing Kroger, alleging the supermarket chain's negligence led to her suffering injuries from a fall.
Vangail Gusman-Garrison filed a lawsuit Nov. 23 in Harris County District Court against Kroger, alleging failure to exercise ordinary care to provide safety to its customers.
According to the complaint, Gusman-Garrison was shopping at a Kroger store in Houston to buy grocery items. The suit says she was injured as a result of falling on a wet floor.
As a result, the lawsuit states Gusman-Garrison has experienced pain and suffering, mental anguish, loss of earning capacity and medical expenses. The plaintiff alleges Kroger failed to place warning signs to inform patrons of the existing dangerous condition on the floor and failed to eliminate the wet condition.
Gusman-Garrison seeks trial by jury, monetary relief of up to $100,000, compensatory and exemplary damages, pre- and post judgment interest, costs of court and all other equitable relief. She is represented by attorney Lanease D. Fuller of Houston.
