Motorist blames driver, auto dealer for injuries in crash

Car accident 15

HOUSTON — A Harris County man is suing a driver and an auto dealer, alleging their negligence led to injuries to the plaintiff in a crash.

Jose Antonio Cordova Saldana filed a complaint Nov. 30 in Harris County District Court against Blayn Branard McLemore and Global Motor Cars of Houston LLC alleging Global Motor negligently entrusted the vehicle to McLemore.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 6, Cordova was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 59 when suddenly McLemore violently struck the plaintiff's vehicle. The suit says this caused the car to roll over and rest on its rooftop.

The lawsuit states Cordova suffered serious injuries, plus medical care and expenses, pain and suffering and lost earnings. The plaintiff alleges McLemore was speeding, failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to swerve to avoid collision and failed to maintain safe distance.

Cordova seeks trial by jury, monetary relief of more than $1 million plus interest, costs of court and all other equitable relief. He is represented by attorney Cristobal M. Galindo of Houston.
