Home buyers seek up to $200,000 from real estate agents

HOUSTON — Two Harris County home buyers are suing real estate agents, alleging they owe up to $200,000 for breach of contract and conversion.

Debora Guajardo and Francisco Lozano filed a complaint Dec. 2 in the Harris County District Court against Rogelio Ramos Jr., Elizabeth Flores-Saucedo, AES Investments LLC and Aaron E. Styron, doing business as Prime Realty Group, alleging violation of of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

According to the complaint, on May 5, Guajardo and Lozano entered into a purchase agreement for property in Pasadena and paid a $32,500 deposit to Ramos. As a result of defendants' actions, the suit says, they sustained economic injuries and economic damages. 

The plaintiffs allege the defendants failed to complete their performance under the terms of the contract and that Ramos never owned the property and never refunded the deposit.

The plaintiffs seek trial by jury, monetary relief between $100,000 and $200,000, costs of litigation, pre- and post-judgment interest, and all other proper relief. They are represented by Thomas E. Ross of Houston.
