Software developer alleges unknown users broke law

HOUSTON — A Texas software developer is suing unknown users, alleging copyright infringement.

Siemens Product Lifecycle Management Software Inc. filed a lawsuit Dec. 2 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Does 1 - 100, alleging violation of the United States Copyright Act.

According to the complaint, Siemens Product Lifecycle will continue to suffer irreparable monetary injury until the defendants are restrained by the court from its infringing activities of unlawfully reproducing and distributing the plaintiff's copyrighted software without permission, consent and/or authority.

Siemens Product Lifestyle Management seeks trial by jury, actual, statutory and enhanced damages, attorney fees and costs of court and all other proper relief. It is represented by attorney Robert R. Riddle of Reed Smith LLP in Houston.
