Galveston County property owner accuses contractors of negligence

GALVESTON — A Galveston County property owner is suing Conroe contractors, alleging breach of construction contract and negligence.

Mike McCraven filed a complaint Dec. 5 in Galveston County District Court against John Campbell and Exterior Repair International, alleging failure to perform and complete contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, in February 2013, McCraven entered into a construction contract with Exterior Repair for the exterior and interior work on his property at 7425 FM Road 646 Road South, Santa Fe, for $84,900. As a result of the defendants' breach, the suit says, McCraven suffered substantial damages, including necessary costs for repairs, loss of time and inconvenience.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to complete and repair the work in a satisfactory manner and negligently designed and supervised the construction process.

McCraven seeks trial by jury, judgment for actual liquidated and consequential damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees and court costs and all other proper relief. He is represented by attorney Jeffrey N. Todd of The Law Firm of Alton C. Todd in Friendswood.
