HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Sugar Land hospital and contractors, alleging their negligence led to her injuries.
Deborah Lozano filed a complaint Dec. 12 in Harris County District Court against The Methodist Hospital, Methodist Health Centers, Barlett Cocke General Contractors LLC, and J.T. Vaughn Construction, alleging they breached their duty to exercise reasonable care to reduce and/or eliminate a dangerous condition.
According to the complaint, on Dec. 11, 2014, Lozano was at the defendants' business premises in Sugar Land. While walking in the parking lot, the suit says, she turned her ankle and fell due a landscaping debris.
The lawsuit states Lozano has suffered physical injuries, pain and suffering and incurred medical expenses. The plaintiff alleges defendants failed to inspect their premises to remove foreign materials on the walking surface and failed to adequately warn the plaintiff of the dangerous condition.
Lozano seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, costs of court and pre- and post-judgment interest. She is represented by attorney Scot G. Dollinger of DollingerLawFirm in Houston.
