HOUSTON – A Houston woman alleges that she suffered a fall at a casual Italian eatery almost two years ago while she was pregnant.

Hanane Bghigh pins the alleged Feb. 1, 2015 incident on Romano’s Macaroni Grill #25, per a lawsuit filed Jan. 17 in the Harris County 61st District Court.

Bghigh, who was 8 1/2 months pregnant at the time, claims she was being seated at a table at the establishment located at 5802 Westheimer Rd. in Houston. The hostess allegedly pulled the chair from underneath the plaintiff and caused her to fall and sustain “severe and debilitating” injuries.

Court papers do not mention the subject event’s effects on Bghigh’s unborn child.

The complaint accuses Romano’s of the following:

·         Failing to train and instruct employees regarding proper seating techniques when seating costumers;

·         Failing to adequately train management personnel;

·         Failing to adequately manage, direct, and/or supervise employees; and

·         Failing to adequately manage, direct, and/or supervise management personnel.

Consequently, Bghigh seeks unspecified monetary damages.

She is represented by attorney Adam P. Criaco of the law firm Criaco & Associates in Houston.
