HOUSTON — A Houston man is suing property operators and a dog owner, alleging their negligence led to dogs attacking and injuring the plaintiff.

Andre Marquel Celestine filed a lawsuit Dec. 22 in Harris County District Court against Great Life LLC, also known as Great LLC Series 9, and Ira Vance, alleging they failed to provide adequate control over the dogs.

According to the complaint, while Celestine was walking on the sidewalk near the defendants' premises at 5234 Lyndhurst Drive, Houston, he was violently attacked by the defendants' dangerous dogs. The suit says Celestine suffered serious injuries that resulted in physical and mental pain, disfigurement and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to confine and/or restrict the animals in a secured enclosure or leash and failed to prevent the dogs from injuring others.

Celestine seeks trial by jury, damages of at least $1 million, pre- and post-judgment interest, costs of court and all other equitable relief. He is represented by attorney Andrew L. Payne of Payne & Payne in Houston.
