HOUSTON — A Texas woman is suing two borrowers, alleging failure to pay back a loan of nearly $200,000.

Carole Denney filed a complaint Jan. 3 in Harris County District Court against Matthew H. Reeves and Mar International Corp., alleging failure to abide by the terms of an agreement.

According to the complaint, in May and June 2016, Denney loaned Reeves $194,000 and the defendant promised to pay within a week. To date, the suit says, the loaned amount remains due and owing.

The plaintiff alleges despite repeated requests, Reeves has failed and refuses to make payment for the account.

Denney seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million and all other relief. She is represented by attorneys G. Scott Fiddler and Andrew W. Reed of Fiddler & Associates PC in Houston.
